TALKING TO THE DEAD
It’s not about believing, it’s about knowing, joy, and raising your vibration. Its easier than you think.
Let’s get this out of the way. Yes, I talk to dead people. Yes, I’m a psychic medium. No, it’s not spooky, sacred, or deep. It’s human. It’s awkward. Sometimes it’s emotional. Sometimes it’s funny. Sometimes they say nothing at all.
People book with me hoping to hear from someone they love. And I’m always honest—I might be able to connect easier than you can, but that doesn’t mean I have a stronger bond. What I have is short-lived. What you have with them is forever. The only difference is I’ve learned to shut the hell up and listen.
This work isn’t about ghosts floating around giving you lottery numbers. It’s about presence. It’s about connection. And most of all, it’s about not overthinking it. Let me show you what I mean.
This wasn’t even about someone who passed. A woman booked with me and asked, “Can you tell me if my husband’s cheating on me?” Now I’m not a spy. I don’t do detective work for relationships. But I checked in with what I call “the powers that be.” I was joking around with them a little, just said, “Is this guy cheating?” And clear as day I heard, “No. She’s cheating—with Robert.” And for a second, I thought they meant her husband was cheating with Robert. I’m like, “Wait—is her husband gay?” And they said, “No. She’s with Robert.”
So I asked her, “Do you know someone named Robert?” She goes, “Oh yeah, he’s a guy at work I talk to. We’ve gone out for drinks a few times.” Mmhm. I didn’t call her out. I didn’t judge her. I just said, “Listen, I can’t tell you if your husband’s cheating, but this question feels like it’s coming from guilt. Is there something you feel bad about?” And she broke down. She admitted she’d had an affair.
That’s mediumship too. It’s not always the dead. It’s about energy. It’s about truth. Sometimes the guides come through not to tell you what you want to hear, but to point the mirror right back at you.
I was reading at a Paracon in Kentucky with a friend. We were doing dual readings and had a long line of people waiting to sit with us. At one point, two people were in front of us, and right behind them was a woman and her son. While I was reading for the two in front, I kept hearing in my head: “That’s my son. That’s my son.” So I thought it had to be for the guy in front of me. I asked, “Did your dad pass?” He goes, “No, my dad’s alive.” Okay, scratch that. But the voice kept going: That’s my son. That’s him. Over and over. I could feel it pushing in.
Then the two people moved and the boy and his mom sat down. The second that boy sat in front of me, I heard it again loud: “That’s him. My son.” And then the name dropped in. Without thinking, I blurted out: “Oh my God, your dad died.” And the kid, calm as anything, looked up and said, “Yeah. I want to talk to him.”
Now my partner is staring at me like, “Did you really just say it like that?” Like I looked way too excited about someone being dead. But I wasn’t trying to be happy. It just came out exactly how I got it. His dad was there. Fully present. Loud, funny, full of energy. And that boy? He felt it. His mom was crying, and not in a scared way—she knew. That was her husband. That’s how he was. That’s how he still is. Sometimes, the connection comes in like a freight train. You just say what you get. There’s no time to make it soft.
If I know I’ve got a mediumship reading, I usually don’t want to know who someone hopes to hear from. Most mediums don’t. The less we know, the better. Because if I start guessing or expecting, I’ll miss the real connection. In the morning, if I’ve got sessions coming up, I sometimes do something called sitting in the power. It’s not a fancy ritual. I’m just being quiet. Not thinking. Just getting out of my head and letting go of the physical world for a minute.
Do I need to do it? No. I’ve done plenty of great readings without it. But sometimes I like it. It helps me shift out of “me” and into observer mode. That’s all this is, shifting perception.
Before readings, I talk to my guides like regular people. I say, “All right, I need your help. I want to say things that they recognize so they know it’s not coming from me.” And when I do big platform or group readings, I’ll literally sit backstage and tell myself dirty jokes. Laugh out loud. Why? Because people walk in so nervous, either thinking “this guy’s fake” or “God, I hope my person comes through.” Everyone’s clenched up.
If I walk in with that tension, it drags the energy down. But if I walk in smiling and loose, they come up to me. I get them on my level. And once we’re vibing high, guess who else can reach us? The people they’re here for.
Let me say this clearly. There’s no devil. No one is “trapped.” And I’m not hearing full sentences like they’re whispering in my ear. Mediumship is telepathic. It’s mostly thoughts. Flashes. Feelings. Maybe a visual. Maybe a phrase. But it’s not like having a conversation on the phone.
When someone comes in, sometimes I feel them. Sometimes I hear them in my head, but it’s not my voice. It’s a thought that doesn’t belong to me. It pushes its way in and I know I have to say it. It’s usually something I’ve never said or thought before. Sometimes I see people clearly. Their face, their hair, everything. Sometimes it’s like a negative photo. Sometimes color. Sometimes blurry.
There’s objective perception, like when I literally see something outside my head, like a real cat walking by my window (which has happened). Then there’s subjective, flashes of memory, visuals in my head, little movies playing that I know aren’t mine. Most of what I get is subjective. But it’s real. You can’t fake what you don’t expect.
And again, it’s not evil. The people who get “evil” stuff? Usually they’ve got a filter problem. Trauma, fear, unresolved beliefs. That stuff twists what they receive. But spirit itself? It’s never evil. It’s connected. It’s neutral. It’s free.
Mediums are trained to quiet the noise and listen with everything, not just ears. Every sense. Everything seen and unseen.
Not everyone comes through like a Hallmark card. I’ve had moms push their husbands out of the way during a session. The mom won’t stop talking and I have to say, “Your dad’s here, but your mom’s not letting him say a word.” And people always say, “That’s exactly how they were.” That’s evidence. That’s not a bad reading. That’s them showing you who they were.
I’ve only refunded three readings in my life. Not because people asked, but because I couldn’t get anyone. I don’t make up filler. I don’t fake it. If I don’t get someone, I say so. You can rebook. That’s it.
Now here’s one of the weirdest. I was investigating an old plantation years ago with a group of mediums. We split up and took people through different rooms. I was sitting in this woman’s bedroom with five or six strangers in the dark, just asking out loud, “Is anyone here?” All of a sudden, a presence hit me hard. It was male. And it was not nice.
The feeling I got was he wanted to call me names. Racist energy. Ugly stuff. He didn’t say it, but it hit like that. I don’t usually feel that. I don’t believe in evil spirits. But this was different.
Then I got a name. So I said, “Is there someone in this room with this name?” A woman said, “That’s me.” I told her straight: “There’s a man here, and I hope I’m not offending you, but he’s saying awful things. Racist stuff. He’s being threatening. Does that make sense?” She said, “Oh my God. That’s my grandfather.”
Later he told me he was ashamed of how he lived. That he didn’t want to be that person anymore. And she asked me, “Should I forgive him?” I said, “That’s up to you. But yeah. You don’t have to forgive what he did. But you can forgive him. He’s trying.”
That’s what this work is. Not soft. Not always sweet. But honest.
When people say they can’t connect, I tell them, it’s not that you can’t. It’s that you won’t. And that’s OK. But let’s call it what it is.
We come here and forget everything. That’s part of it. We start fresh. Even if we’ve lived before, we relearn hot and cold, we learn how to count again, how to speak. Everything gets reset.
Then you get taught things like, Santa’s real. Just kidding, Santa’s fake. Ghosts aren’t real. Just kidding, that creaking sound is evil. God is love. Just kidding, you’re going to hell. No wonder you don’t trust what you feel.
You were told your loved ones are gone. You were told Heaven’s far away. You were told death ends connection. None of that is true.
Here’s what I tell people. You have to stop hoping and start knowing. You have to trust the connection is still there even if it’s quiet. Don’t look for proof. Look for patterns. Stop calling everything a coincidence.
Talk to them. Out loud. Then go about your day.
You’ll see their name. You’ll hear their song. You’ll feel a random memory slam into your chest. That’s them.
And no one’s trapped. Not a single soul. If someone isn’t coming through, it’s not because they’re stuck. They’re never stuck. If they’re not showing up, it’s timing. Or your energy. Or maybe they’re waiting until you’re ready.
I talk to my friend Paul all the time. He died years ago. We were supposed to be comedians together. He was cynical, sharp, always gave me shit for being too positive. He’d yell at me for it. Sometimes I’ll sit and say, “Paul, you asshole. Why’d you leave? You should be here for this.”
Same with my brother. When I’m fixing something or dealing with family stuff, I’ll say, “If you hadn’t left, I wouldn’t have to do this.” And when I do that? I always get a sign. Always.
That’s the secret. They don’t want ceremony. They don’t need candles. They need you to remember who they are. And talk to them like they’re still right here. Because they are.
Talking to the dead while sitting on your couch
The following guided meditation goes with the article you just read. It’s not deep or spooky or serious. It’s lighthearted and real. You don’t need to be psychic to use it. You don’t need to do anything special. You just sit down, breathe, and talk to whoever you’re missing on the other side. It’s short, it’s human, and it’s meant to lift your vibe while helping you feel closer to them.
This Week’s Vibe
November 17 – 23, 2025
Take what fits and leave what does not.
The Energy This Week
We are still in Scorpio season for most of the week. This is the final stretch before the Sun moves into Sagittarius. Scorpio brings clarity through honesty and release. Sagittarius brings movement, hope, and the desire to look forward instead of back.
The early week Moon moves through Virgo, which helps with practical tasks and grounding. Midweek, the Moon moves into Libra and pushes you toward balance, fairness, and calm. By the weekend, the Moon enters Scorpio again, which makes emotions stronger but also helps you let go of old weight.
This mix gives the week a strong theme of healing, clearing out mental clutter, and preparing for something new.
In plain terms, this week is about letting go so you have room for what is coming.

🎂 Birthday Note
November 17 – 23
If your birthday is this week, the year ahead focuses on rebuilding your confidence and trusting your inner guidance. Scorpio’s depth meets Sagittarius’ fire, which helps you leave the past behind and move toward something more hopeful.
Plain terms: this is your healing year. You are moving forward with more wisdom and less weight.
Closing Note
This week supports honesty, release, and quiet strength. Do not push. Let your energy rebuild. Some doors close so better ones can open.
🌟 Something Special
Healing Patterns
When both the Three of Swords reversed and the Balsamic Moon show up in the same week, it signals the end of an old emotional cycle. These cards often appear together right before a breakthrough. Pay attention to any habit or emotion that feels “finished.” You may be completing something important without realizing it.
🌙 Moon Moments
The Slow Exhale
This week’s Moon cards highlight a slow emotional release. The Full Moon in Scorpio clears old weight. The Balsamic Moon offers rest and repair. Together they show a full cycle of letting go.
If you want to work with this energy, try this simple flow:
Early week, name one thing you no longer want to carry.
Midweek, keep your schedule light and protect your energy.
Weekend, write or voice one sentence that feels healing or freeing for you.
This week is the exhale before the new chapter begins.
Thank you!
