Stop Worrying About Life So Much

A Thought That Turned Into a Teachable Moment

It’s come to my attention, both through the people I talk to and my work as a psychic and medium, that a lot of us are constantly asking: What’s next? Where am I going? What am I supposed to be doing here?

I’d be lying if I said I haven’t asked those questions myself. And the thing is, when we start to ask them, we also start to worry. We question where we’re at, where we’re going, and then the 3D world jumps in with its usual fear tactics: “You’d better do this or you’re not going to have enough money.” “You won’t be able to retire.” “You can’t do that. You can’t afford it.”

Suddenly, we’re worrying about physical things, things that are, honestly, kind of illusionary. Take money. Most people barely see it anymore. It’s just numbers on a screen, digits in a banking app. We move it around with a tap on our phones, and those numbers go up or down, but we rarely hold anything. It’s not real in the way we think it is.

We panic about not having “enough,” but what is “enough” when it’s all just data? We don’t want to run out of numbers. That’s really all it is. And I used to be just like that. But I’m not anymore.

Now, when I think about what I want to do or where I’m heading, I don’t invite the “real world” into that conversation. I don’t let my brain go straight to, “But you better have the money or you won’t survive.”

Once you get that voice out of your head, the one that’s full of fear and conditions, everything changes. Because that voice isn’t telling the truth. It’s not reality. It’s programming.

If you can say to yourself, “These are the things I want to do,” and just start doing them in any capacity, you’re already on the right track.

It doesn’t mean you have to quit your job, leave your family, or make some dramatic leap. But take a step. One. Just toward the thing you’ve always wanted. Why aren’t we doing that?

I do it. Sometimes I wish it would all move faster, but I also know I have to let it unfold in its own time. And you know what? I always have what I need.

That’s not a spiritual overstatement. It’s just true. From the day I was born, I’ve been given everything I needed to survive. And that just kept happening. I know it, I believe it, and when you believe that, you stop running out of money. You stop panicking.

Your mind, when it really believes something, starts working with you. It guides you toward opportunities, ideas, people, and things that align with what you need. But the belief has to be there first. That’s where most people get stuck.

I don’t know exactly where I’m going with all this. Maybe it came from something that happened today.

My younger brother, who hasn’t worked in 20 years, is getting a settlement from something that happened during surgery a long time ago. But because he’s been living on SSI and hasn’t worked, honestly, he just doesn’t want to, it’s complicated. He’s dealt with alcoholism, he’s been enabled for years, and now that he’s used to it, it’s just a habit.

He can’t accept the money unless it goes into a trust. And when my parents, who are both in their late 80s, pass away, everything is going to be in my name. The reason it’s all in my name is because my brother owes so much money, in bankruptcy and back debt, that he’d never see any of it. And I don’t want to be responsible for him. I started thinking about that today.

I realized, he needs to figure something out. And then I thought, am I any different?

I don’t go to a traditional 40-hour job. That doesn’t mean I don’t work, I absolutely do. I work for myself. I’m always working, and I’m always doing it on my own. But according to the system, I live in poverty.

Thing is, I don’t feel like I’m in poverty. I have a nice home, four cats I love, and I make enough to cover the things I need. Sure, I don’t have money for everything I want, but somehow, the things I want always end up getting to me anyway, without having to hustle, without having to lie or scam anybody, and still be able to keep my integrity.

So maybe we need to stop worrying so much about life. We make ourselves miserable worrying about things that aren’t even here yet, future problems, future fears, future versions of life that haven’t happened and might never happen.

And even if they do? There are so many versions of the future. Pick the one that feels good, believe it, and start walking toward it.

I still worry about things. But I also still do the things I love. I love doing readings. I love all the spiritual work I’ve been learning since my NDE, or trauma, or awakening, whatever you want to call it. Life is different now. I’m different now.

And I don’t want to sit around worrying about things that aren’t real because it’s easier to find meaning in life when you stop obsessing over life itself.

✨ 10 Steps to Stop Worrying So Much About Life

1. Notice the Voice of Fear — and Question It

Catch the moment your brain says:

“You better do this or else...”
That’s not your soul talking, it’s programming. You don’t need to argue with it, just recognize: that voice is not the truth.

2. Understand the Illusion of “Not Enough”

Money is mostly numbers on a screen. It feels real because we were trained to fear its absence. But ask yourself:

What is “enough,” really?
That fear is a story, not a fact.

3. Remove the “Real World” From Your Visioning

When imagining your life’s direction, don’t let fear run the meeting.
Instead of: “Can I afford this?”
Try: “Is this what I feel called to do?”

4. Let Belief Come First — Not After the Outcome

Belief isn’t something you wait to feel once things “work out.” It’s the starting fuel.
When you believe you’ll be supported, your life starts aligning with that truth.

5. Take One Small Step Toward What You Want

You don’t need to quit your job or move across the country.
Just take one small, honest step toward something that’s been on your heart.
Movement opens the channel.

6. Stop Measuring Yourself by a Broken System

Maybe society says you’re “in poverty,” but if you have what you need, a peaceful home, and integrity? You’re rich in ways that matter.

Reclaim your own definition of success.

7. Trust What’s Already True

Look back. You’ve always had what you needed, even when it was tight.
Let that memory build trust in the present, and relax your need to control the future.

8. Be Present With What You Love

Worry exists in the future. But love the things you love doing, the people, the animals, the practices, they live here.
Keep choosing what you love. That’s what anchors you.

9. Pick the Version of the Future That Feels Good

There are infinite futures. Why obsess over the worst one?
Pick one that brings peace to your body, and start gently walking toward it.
That’s enough.

10. Life Becomes Easier When You Stop Obsessing Over It

You don’t have to solve life to live it well.
When you stop analyzing every moment and just start being in it, meaning finds you.
Let life breathe. Let it unfold.
