Quiet Truth
A reflection on purpose, perspective, and choosing to play the game my way
Sometimes I sit here asking myself what I’m really trying to do. Not in a dramatic, existential meltdown kind of way, more in that quiet, restless moment where you wonder, what am I even aiming for? What do I want? What’s the point of all this?
And the strange thing is, I have everything I need. I’ve got a roof over my head. Somehow, I always manage to cover the bills. I don’t make much doing what I do. In fact, people would probably laugh if they knew my yearly income. I hear people complain, “All I make is fifty thousand,” and I think, wow, that would feel like luxury to me right now.
I don’t go out much. I don’t spend a lot. Most of my life is quiet. I come home, take care of my animals, feed the strays outside, and help my parents, who are in their eighties. And I like it that way. I’m not in a relationship, and I don’t really want one. I have a few close friends I talk to now and then. I enjoy my solitude. It’s enough.
But sometimes, I still dream. That part of me hasn’t died, the part that dreams big. Like million-dollar-home-in-the-mountains big. I’ve already done things I never thought I would, so who knows? Maybe that dream will happen too. I don’t obsess over it, but yeah, I still catch myself wondering what it’d be like to have more. Not just for me, but to do more good with it.
The other day, I was in a store talking to a woman who offered me a job. I mentioned where I used to work and she said, “You should come work for us.” For a second, I actually considered it. Took her name, smiled, said I’d think about it. But the moment I got to my car, I felt it. No. That’s not for me. That would be giving up. That would be telling the universe I don’t believe in what I’m doing.
Still, I appreciated the offer. It was comforting in a strange way to know that something would show up if I truly needed it. But I’m still standing. And something inside keeps saying, you’re not failing. Keep going. We know something you don’t. It’s gonna be cool.
And that’s why I keep writing. I keep sharing. Because it’s in me. But I’ll be honest, sometimes I put things out there and it feels like no one’s listening. I express myself again and again, and sometimes it just lands flat. People scroll past it. And then I start thinking, maybe I suck at this. Maybe I should just shut up.
But something deeper always answers back. No. You’re not supposed to shut up. It doesn’t matter how many people see it. The right ones will. The ones who need it. That’s who it’s for.
I’ve looked around at others in this field, mediums, psychics, spiritual creators, and I see how they operate. They have systems, audiences, marketing plans. Their guides always seem to have fresh predictions each week. I know I could do that too. I’m always tuned in. I always have something coming through. But I don’t always post it. I don’t always write it down. Sometimes I just sit with it, because not everything needs to be broadcast. I have a rule, not without being asked. I don’t push unless it’s truly needed.
Still, I know I could probably make more money if I leaned into that side. If I played the part. If I turned every little message into content. I get predictions constantly, but predictions aren’t guarantees. And let’s be real, when people get it wrong, they just ignore it. But when they get it right, suddenly they’re prophets.
I can’t do that. I can’t turn this into clickbait. I won’t sell fear. There’s too much fear-based spiritual content out there, end-of-the-world talk, politics disguised as prophecy, starseed videos telling people they don’t belong here. And maybe they feel that way. But I’ll say it again, if you’re here, you chose to be here. Nobody’s here by force. Not people. Not animals. Not bugs. Every being chose this.
So yeah, stop trying to escape. If you’re here, be here.
I’ve had to remind myself of that too. My path doesn’t look like theirs. I’ve died. I’ve been to the other side. And when someone tries to explain how the afterlife works because their guide told them, I want to say, really? I’ve been there. Where was your guide when I flatlined?
Everyone’s experience is different, but I’ve found I have more in common with near-death experiencers than with most working mediums. That’s why some content online bothers me. It’s not just the delivery. It’s the disconnect.
Especially on TikTok. I’ve seen psychics charge ten dollars for one card, fifteen for two, rattling off names during readings while their CashApp notifications buzz. And I wonder, how are you even connected?
When I’m tuned in, I’m in. There’s no part of me checking my phone. That’s why I don’t charge during live streams. I can’t split my focus. I’m not thinking. I’m receiving. That’s the work. That’s flow.
Sometimes I wonder if I’m behind, or doing it wrong. But deep down, I know I’m not. I’m doing it my way, the only way that feels right. And no, I’m not mad at the ones doing it differently. But I’m not going to fake it. Maybe a part of me is even a little jealous, not of the money, but of the ease with which some people can scam others without flinching. I couldn’t do that if I tried.
Someone once told me to talk to scientists studying this stuff. Maybe I will. I think they said it because I’m skeptical. I question everything. I call out what’s fake. I know people like to say, “Well, it’s true for me,” but sorry, not good enough. If it’s fake, it’s fake. Believing it harder doesn’t make it true.
Like those blurry alien videos. We’ve got people shooting films on iPhones, but somehow, every Bigfoot, ghost, and UFO is still filmed with a flip phone in the dark. Come on. Give people some credit.
If scientists really want to understand this field, they need to stop studying the loudest voices and start listening to those who live it. It’s not clean. It’s not polished. It’s not a performance.
When I do a reading, it doesn’t come through like, “Hi, I’m your mom. I died of cancer. I wore a blue dress and made lemon bars.” It’s messier than that. It’s like playing Pictionary with energy. You get impressions. You try to describe them. Sometimes they’re clear. Sometimes you have to ask spirit to rephrase. They do.
This isn’t about being 100 percent accurate. Nobody is. And if someone says they are, they’re lying. I’ve had readings so far off I didn’t even bother correcting them. I let it go so I wouldn’t disrupt their vibe.
Science should understand that nothing real fits a perfect pattern. But you know what does? A scam. And scams are everywhere. People studying your voice, your face, your photos. Some mediums only work through pictures, reading facial expressions and body language. I’ve done that too, but not to deceive. I just see things. I’ve looked at photos where someone seems happy, but I know they’re not. There’s a disconnect you can feel.
Still, there’s a difference between intuition and technique. And between manifestation and coincidence, though they sometimes overlap.
A few weeks ago, I told my mom I wanted one of those bright green and black Jeeps. Ever since, I’ve been seeing green cars everywhere. Maybe that’s pattern recognition. But I’ve seen this before.
When I was car shopping last time, I said I wanted a little white one. Simple, clean, nothing flashy. Not long after, my brother called and said his friend Kiwi had a car for sale. It was a little white Toyota Camry. One owner. Older woman. Exactly what I pictured. So I bought it.
That kind of thing happens to me constantly. Every dream I’ve had, I followed it until it became real. I wanted to be a musician, I became one. I wanted to act, I did theater. I wanted to study comedy, I trained at Second City in Chicago and taught improv. Then I tried stand-up. I was just getting good when I had my near-death experience.
After that, it all vanished. I don’t even remember how to write a joke anymore. That version of me is gone. But those weren’t failures. They were stepping stones. Training for something else.
Improv taught me to shut off the thinking mind. You weren’t allowed to say “um.” You had to respond. And if you froze, you had to walk to the front of the stage and mime your own death. It sounds harsh, but it worked.
That’s still how I work. If I think too much, it stops. You think, you block it. You have to get quiet. That’s what music taught me. That’s what meditation taught me. That’s what acting taught me. It’s all about learning how to listen. Really listen.
Meditation should be taught in first grade. Seriously. The brain is just a filter. It’s not the source. Quiet your brain and things become clearer. The soul already knows. But the brain, the body, the moment, they’re like foggy sunglasses. Sometimes you’ve got to pause and clean them off.
It’s all perception. That’s it. People love those zoom-out videos of Earth where we become a tiny dot. The message is, “See how small you are.” I think that’s bullshit.
You’re not just the dot. You’re the whole damn view. You’re the cosmos zooming in on one point. That’s what this life is, a focus, a perspective.
And even knowing all that, I still get lost. I still wish more people read what I write. I still wish it moved faster. I don’t always know what I’m asking for. I just want to keep writing. Keep sharing. I want it to matter.
Because I love what I do. I love being a psychic. I love helping people. When someone says, “How did you know that?” it’s the best feeling in the world. I don’t need them to understand how I did it. If it helped, that’s enough. That’s the point. And I want others to know they can do this too. It’s not easy. But it’s possible.
I’m not doing this for praise. I’m not doing it for ego. I’m doing it so I don’t feel like I’m shouting into the void.
But I’ll keep going either way.
So if you’re reading this and any of it sounds like you, if you’re someone trying to stay honest in a world that rewards fake, keep going. Don’t worry about what everyone else is doing. Follow your integrity. Follow your morals. Tell your truth.
Truth matters, even if it’s quiet.
Forget fame. Forget legacy. That stuff fades. Even thirty years of fame can mean nothing. If it comes, fine. But don’t lose yourself chasing it.
And when that little devil on your shoulder whispers fear and doubt in your ear, say what I say:
Go to hell, you little bitch.
You’re not gonna win.
I’m just gonna keep telling my truth.

I love how real and authentic you are! Don’t change! The world needs more like you..I think you are great and I really appreciate you! ✨💜 Thank you for all you do!
I read everything you write and it all resonates. Never stop doing what you do. Thank you for being real. It is what we all need.
